Having spent much time in Peter's native Austria, it was natural that Sue Ellen and Peter should take particular interest the Lipizzaner horse breed. The proud and graceful Lipizzaner is Europe's oldest breed of horse whose origins date back to the 16th century

A visit to Piber Federal Stud in Austria, picured below, was a high point during the establishment of Edelweiss Ranch. At Piber they gained an insight into the knowledge and experience in breeding and training that has been developed over four centuries.
